How to get to Akoko waterfall from Lagos .

Akoko waterfall.

Nigeria ,generally has been showing a lot of Nigerians living in Nigeria shege . (shege been the slang for stress)If you happen to be living in Lagos like myself then your shege has to be pro max.

In the quest to escape Lagos shege for a little while  ,I made up my mind to hit the road again . 

Destination was Ondo , but because I had a travel buddy that want to experience the Ibadan train ride, we  concluded on doing train to Ibadan then continue the journey there after,which cost #3600 as at August 2023.

After exactly 2hours and 45 minutes we arrived at Ibadan , giving us room to do one or two things and head to the motor park to take us to Ondo . 

Ondo ?we are definitely coming but what is an Ibadan trip without an Amala stop ?so we head to faranmole Express at Iwo road to put in some energy booster before heading to the park , on getting to the park .

Bus to Ondo was #7000 per person ,it is not like we can negotiate it since President elect has made sure this shege will get to everybody las las .

The ride from Ibadan to Ondo was 5hrs and few minutes making our arrival time to Ondo late in the night . As at 8:00 pm we went hotel scouting ,since I am not one to trust any online pictures no matter how tempting they seems , we got to one hotel like that an o boy! The hotel didn't give ,my trust issue was justified , so we moved on ,leaving us no option than to be jumping from one bike to the other 😏.

We later settled for Premier Perrier hotel which doesn't seems like the best but better than nothing .

After settling in ,we went to search for food and call it a night after my other travel buddies had taken some alcohol and 😴.

The waterfall wasn't the first place we toured in Ondo state , because it was a 20 mins ride from our hotel . Do we used the first part of the day going out of town to see the suspended lake in the city .

Akoko falls is a 20mins ride from our hotel and you will do a light hiking to get to the waterfalls, the waterfalls has beauty in layers ,shapes and sizes.

Although there is no clear part that led to the falls ,but if you are patience enough ,you cannot miss it . 

Waterfall chasing came to an end after soaking ourselves in the beauty of nature and we head back home .

Home is Lagos and because we were behind schedule we didn't go to the motor park in other to save time , we head to a park in front of University guest house at 8000 and head back to Lagos .

Total cost 39800.

NB : bike to the waterfall was that high because they stayed with us and took us back home .
