I started my journey from my hotel, Stefan hotel in Rayfield , decided to not use bolt because i didn't know how far the journey ahead will cost me , so it's better to be safe than sorry .
From my hotel , I took keke to old airport, from old airport there is this guy that will approach you to as where you are going , it is important that you answer him since he is the one that will put you inside the car/ bus to wherever you are going . I know this because I have plied that road two days before and the day before that and it is usually the same process .
I told him I'm going to Kurra falls and I insisted I wanted a straight bus since the one I took the day before going to Riyom drop me at Maraba and another one that took me to another one that took me to Riyom so I wanted to avoid all that but since he saw my insistence and he didn't even argue, (a typical you cannot come and kill me attitude) but put me in the same Maraban car Remember I am in the Northern part of the country and like my people will say I didn't hear come let me kill you in their language , so whatever he told the driver I know nothing of that but I can tell from his body language that he is not taking me to Kurra falls so I asked him in English
Are you taking me to Kurra falls ?
Driver : where are you going to ?
Me : Kurra falls
Driver : The Kurra falls I know is in Barkinladi
Me : Yes , that's where I'm going to
Driver : No , I no dey go there o, I go drop you for Maraban and you get get bus go Kurra .
That confirm my doubt , got down at Maraban and the driver said I have to get to barkinladi before I can get a car going to Kurra falls , I really have little or no choice at this point so i joined the bus to Barkinladi and another to Kurra falls.
The journey from old airport to Maraban is 20mins , while Marabam to Barkinladin is another 35 mins , Barkinladi to Kurra is exactly one hour .
I got to Kurra at exactly 2:00pm , if you are not new to chasing waterfalls you already know that there is either some hiking to be done or some bike to be mounted and in some cases you may have to do both ,so I approached them and told them I'm going to the waterfalls .
Man 1 : Madam time don go oo , you no fit go there now
Me :why ? Is it that far ?
Man 2: No be say e far like that but them no dey go buy this time
Me : rolls my eyes , because of wetin ?
Man 1 : you for come for that morning time now unless nah only perr house you wan see .
Short story : there is an hydroelectric power station located in the town very close to the waterfall which they refer to as the power house
Me :resumes discussion, how many hours we go use if we go now ,
Man 1 : corper I no fit tell you that one oo because I no fit know.
Me : stares in anger inwardly because I cannot let them see how irritated I was or how can you tell me a place is far yet you cannot put a time to it .
Man 1 : even if we wan carry you sef nah 5k
Me : if that is your problem let's go .
They converse in Hausa for about a mins and call on one guy that has only been observing but did not partake in the discussion to come and carry me
New man : corper let's go .
The journey to the falls from the bike park is approximately 15mins on bike , 25 mins hike to the waterfall and Biola

If you've made it this far then you are either considering going or you plan on going . This is me encouraging you that the waterfall is beautiful and it's not a seasonal waterfall so irrespective of the time you get there there will always be water to see/swim in .
